Home, the end is my beginning
Like a tree besieged by clinging branches and parasitic leaves, the planet fights a still and silent battle for survival. Human beings have built their empires and glories by draining the Earth of its resources and exploiting every other living being. Like a climbing parasite, humanity has reached unimaginable heights, at the cost of a deep fracture with its own origin: our common home.
What can save us?
“We are not only rational adults, engaged in an endless competition to surpass one another. We are also children of the same land. Something holds us together. We need to heal from the same illnesses, to find in music a shared remedy.”
— Franco Cassano, Dancing Against Solitude
“Home, the end is my beginning” , the performative outcome of the project Home, is a choral dance that leads us back home. A dance against solitude, against isolation, against the illusion of being separate individuals. We are not autonomous entities trapped in infinite competition, but children of the same Earth, united by the same vulnerability.
It is a dance that heals. A song of healing that gathers the fragments of the primordial body and mends the fracture between the human and the living world. A dance that can rewrite our story.
And finally, a shared chant that moves through us and binds us together, reminding us that we are part of the same breath, the same body, the same home.
